We know well or in part about famous battles, such as: Boyaca, Pichincha, Stalingrad, The Alamo, Normandy, Desert Storm, today in the streets of Baghdad and across Iraq, but … Have you ever heard about fight of faith?
The old Paul (real name was Saul of Tarsus), a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, wrote in his letter 2 Timothy 4:7 that: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I kept the faith . The faith (as a virtue in man and woman) has enemies, such as doubt, fear and anxiety. All of this battle against your faith, to weaken and break your trust in God.
It is quite possible that doubt, fear and anxiety, stress are hitting your heart. What should be done under these conditions?
In the Gospel of Jesus according to the story of Luke 8:50, Jesus told a father bowed by grief at the death of his daughter, the following: “Do not be afraid, just believe, and she will be healed” ( NIV)At that moment a battle broke faith in the minds and hearts of Jairus. You may be wondering: What does it mean to believe? Who do I believe? Is it true what Jesus says to me? Jairo decided to believe the words of Jesus. What was the outcome? The Bible says that Jairus’ daughter raised to life by the power of God.
Not what the battle pounds now to keep your faith.
Go through a severe crisis in your business? a spirit of fracture in your relationship? or disease is consuming your life? I can safely say that Jesus is with you, and tells you today: “Do not be afraid, just believe …”
You believe that? The same old Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans 10:9: “If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Defeat in the battle of faith asking Jesus to forgive your shortcomings and human failings and live in all your mind and your heart.
